What if a vase grew from the earth?
SOLUTION
The bulb vase is a puzzle vase inspired by flower bulbs. It is slipcast in porcelain and consists of four elements that can stand alone or come together to create a larger form.
PROCESS
The forms were modeled in SolidWorks and each of the four elements were CNCed in foam to create models for the plaster molds.
I cast and glazed over 60 pieces for this collection, experimenting with low and high fire glazes and a range of colors and surface decoration techniques.
